<p rend="chapter">7. Samuccayaparicchedavaṇṇanā</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="1"><hi rend="paranum">1</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi><hi rend="bold">Salakkhaṇā</hi> cintanādisalakkhaṇā cittacetasikanipphannarūpanibbānavasena dvāsattatipabhedā <hi rend="bold">vatthudhammā</hi> sabhāvadhammā vuttā, idāni tesaṃ <hi rend="bold">yathāyogaṃ</hi> sabhāvadhammānaṃ ekekasamuccayavasena yogānurūpato akusalasaṅgahādibhedaṃ <hi rend="bold">samuccayaṃ</hi> rāsiṃ pavakkhāmīti yojanā.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="2"><hi rend="paranum">2</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Akusalānameva <pb ed="V" n="0.0193" /> sabhāgadhammavasena saṅgaho <hi rend="bold">akusalasaṅgaho</hi>. Kusalādivasena missakānaṃ saṅgaho <hi rend="bold">missakasaṅgaho,</hi> saccābhisambodhisaṅkhātassa ariyamaggassa pakkhe bhavānaṃ bodhipakkhiyānaṃ dhammānaṃ satipaṭṭhānādibhedānaṃ sabhāgavatthuvasena saṅgaho <hi rend="bold">bodhipakkhiyasaṅgaho</hi>. Khandhādivasena sabbesaṃ saṅgaho <hi rend="bold">sabbasaṅgaho</hi>.</p>

<p rend="subhead">Akusalasaṅgahavaṇṇanā</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="3"><hi rend="paranum">3</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Pubbakoṭiyā <pb ed="M" n="0.0218" /> apaññāyanato cirapārivāsiyaṭṭhena, vaṇato vā vissandamānayūsā viya cakkhādito visayesu vissandanato <hi rend="bold">āsavā</hi>. Atha vā bhavato ābhavaggaṃ dhammato āgotrabhuṃ savanti pavattantīti <hi rend="bold">āsavā</hi>. Avadhiattho cettha <hi rend="bold">ā</hi>-kāro, avadhi ca mariyādābhividhivasena duvidho. Tattha ‘‘āpāṭaliputtaṃ vuṭṭho devo’’tyādīsu viya kiriyaṃ bahi katvā pavatto <hi rend="bold">mariyādo</hi>. ‘‘Ābhavaggaṃ saddo abbhuggato’’tyādīsu viya kiriyaṃ byāpetvā pavatto <hi rend="bold">abhividhi</hi>. Idha pana abhividhimhi daṭṭhabbo. Tathā hete nibbattiṭṭhānabhūte ca bhavagge, gotrabhumhi ca ārammaṇabhūte pavattanti. Vijjamānesu ca aññesu ābhavaggaṃ, āgotrabhuñca savantesu mānādīsu attattaniyaggahaṇavasena abhibyāpanato madakaraṇaṭṭhena āsavasadisatāya ca eteyeva āsavabhāvena niruḷhāti daṭṭhabbaṃ. Kāmoyeva āsavo <hi rend="bold">kāmāsavo,</hi> kāmarāgo. Rūpārūpabhavesu chandarāgo <hi rend="bold">bhavāsavo</hi>. Jhānanikantisassatadiṭṭhisahagato ca rāgo ettheva saṅgayhati. Tattha paṭhamo upapattibhavesu rāgo, dutiyo kammabhave, tatiyo bhavadiṭṭhisahagato. Dvāsaṭṭhividhā diṭṭhi <hi rend="bold">diṭṭhāsavo</hi>. Dukkhādīsu catūsu saccesu, pubbante, aparante, pubbāparante, paṭiccasamuppādesu cāti aṭṭhasu ṭhānesu aññāṇaṃ <hi rend="bold">avijjāsavo</hi>.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="4"><hi rend="paranum">4</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Ottharitvā haraṇato, ohananato vā heṭṭhā katvā hananato osīdāpanato ‘‘ogho’’ti vuccati jalappavāho, ete ca satte ottharitvā hanantā vaṭṭasmiṃ satte osīdāpentā viya hontīti oghasadisatāya <hi rend="bold">oghā</hi><pb ed="M" n="0.0219" />, āsavāyeva panettha yathāvuttaṭṭhena ‘‘oghā’’ti ca vuccanti.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="5"><hi rend="paranum">5</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Vaṭṭasmiṃ, bhavayantake vā satte kammavipākena bhavantarādīhi, dukkhena vā satte yojentīti <hi rend="bold">yogā,</hi> heṭṭhā vuttadhammāva.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="6"><hi rend="paranum">6</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Nāmakāyena <pb ed="V" n="0.0194" /> rūpakāyaṃ, paccuppannakāyena vā anāgatakāyaṃ ganthenti duppamuñcaṃ veṭhentīti <hi rend="bold">kāyaganthā</hi>. Gosīlādinā sīlena, vatena, tadubhayena ca suddhīti evaṃ parato asabhāvato āmasanaṃ <hi rend="bold">parāmāso</hi>. ‘‘Idameva saccaṃ, moghamañña’’nti abhinivisanaṃ daḷhaggāho <hi rend="bold">idaṃ saccābhiniveso</hi>.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="7"><hi rend="paranum">7</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Maṇḍūkaṃ pannago viya bhusaṃ daḷhaṃ ārammaṇaṃ ādiyantīti upādānāni. Kāmoyeva upādānaṃ, kāme upādiyatīti vā <hi rend="bold">kāmupādānaṃ</hi>. ‘‘Iminā me sīlavatādinā saṃsārasuddhī’’ti evaṃ sīlavatādīnaṃ gahaṇaṃ <hi rend="bold">sīlabbatupādānaṃ</hi>. Vadanti etenāti vādo, khandhehi byatirittābyatirittavasena vīsati parikappitassa attano vādo attavādo. Soyeva upādānanti <hi rend="bold">attavādupādānaṃ</hi>.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="8"><hi rend="paranum">8</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Jhānādivasena uppajjanakakusalacittaṃ nisedhenti tathā tassa uppajjituṃ na dentīti <hi rend="bold">nīvaraṇāni,</hi> paññācakkhuno vā āvaraṇaṭṭhena <hi rend="bold">nīvaraṇā</hi>. Pañcasu kāmaguṇesu adhimattarāgasaṅkhāto kāmoyeva chandanaṭṭhena chando cāti kāmacchando. Soyeva nīvaraṇanti <hi rend="bold">kāmacchandanīvaraṇaṃ</hi>. Byāpajjati vinassati etena cittanti byāpādo, ‘‘anatthaṃ me acarī’’tyādinayappavattanavavidhaāghātavatthupadaṭṭhānatāya navavidho, aṭṭhānakopena saha dasavidho vā doso, soyeva <pb ed="M" n="0.0220" /> nīvaraṇanti <hi rend="bold">byāpādanīvaraṇaṃ</hi>. Thinamiddhameva nīvaraṇaṃ <hi rend="bold">thinamiddhanīvaraṇaṃ</hi>. Tathā <hi rend="bold">uddhaccakukkuccanīvaraṇaṃ</hi>. Kasmā panete bhinnadhammā dve dve ekanīvaraṇabhāvena vuttāti? Kiccāhārapaṭipakkhānaṃ samānabhāvato. Thinamiddhānañhi cittuppādassa layāpādanakiccaṃ samānaṃ, uddhaccakukkuccānaṃ avūpasantabhāvakāraṇaṃ. Tathā purimānaṃ dvinnaṃ tandīvijambhitā āhāro, hetūtyattho, pacchimānaṃ ñātibyasanādivitakkanaṃ. Purimānañca dvinnaṃ vīriyaṃ paṭipakkhabhūtaṃ, pacchimānaṃ samathoti, tenāhu porāṇā –</p>

<p rend="gatha1">‘‘Kiccāhāravipakkhānaṃ, ekattā ekamettha hi;</p>

<p rend="gathalast">Katamuddhaccakukkuccaṃ, thinamiddhañca tādinā.</p>

<p rend="gatha1">‘‘Līnatāsantatā kiccaṃ, tandī ñātivitakkanaṃ;</p>

<p rend="gathalast">Hetu vīriyasamathā, ime tesaṃ virodhino’’ti.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="9"><hi rend="paranum">9</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Appahīnaṭṭhena <pb ed="V" n="0.0195" /> anu anu santāne sentīti <hi rend="bold">anusayā,</hi> anurūpaṃ kāraṇaṃ labhitvā uppajjantītyattho. Appahīnā hi kilesā kāraṇalābhe sati upajjanārahā santāne anu anu sayitā viya hontīti tadavatthā ‘‘anusayā’’ti vuccanti. Te pana nippariyāyato anāgatā kilesā, atītapaccuppannāpi taṃsabhāvattā tathā vuccanti. Na hi kālabhedena dhammānaṃ sabhāvabhedo atthi, yadi appahīnaṭṭhena anusayā, nanu sabbepi kilesā appahīnā anusayā bhaveyyunti? Na mayaṃ appahīnatāmattena ‘‘anusayā’’ti vadāma, atha kho appahīnaṭṭhena thāmagatā kilesā anusayāti. <hi rend="bold">Thāmagamanañca</hi> anaññasādhāraṇo kāmarāgādīnameva āveṇiko sabhāvoti alaṃ vivādena. Kāmarāgoyeva anusayo <hi rend="bold">kāmarāgānusayo</hi>.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="10"><hi rend="paranum">10</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Saṃyojenti bandhantīti <hi rend="bold">saṃyojanāni</hi>.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="12"><hi rend="paranum">12</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Cittaṃ <pb ed="M" n="0.0221" /> kilissati upatappati, bādhīyati vā etehīti <hi rend="bold">kilesā</hi>.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="13"><hi rend="paranum">13</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi><hi rend="bold">Kāmabhavanāmenā</hi>ti kāmabhavasaṅkhātānaṃ ārammaṇānaṃ nāmena. <hi rend="bold">Tathāpavatta</hi>nti sīlabbatādīnaṃ parato āmasanādivasena pavattaṃ.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="14"><hi rend="paranum">14</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Āsavā ca oghā ca yogā ca ganthā ca <hi rend="bold">vatthuto</hi> dhammato vuttanayena tayo. <hi rend="bold">Tathā upādānā</hi> duve vuttā taṇhādiṭṭhivasena. <hi rend="bold">Nīvaraṇā aṭṭha siyuṃ</hi> thinamiddhauddhaccakukkuccānaṃ visuṃ gahaṇato. <hi rend="bold">Anusayā chaḷeva honti</hi> kāmarāgabhavarāgānusayānaṃ taṇhāsabhāvena ekato gahitattā. <hi rend="bold">Nava saṃyojanā matā</hi> ubhayattha vuttānaṃ taṇhāsabhāvānaṃ, diṭṭhisabhāvānañca ekekaṃ saṅgahitattā. Kilesā pana suttantavasena, abhidhammavasenapi dasa. <hi rend="bold">Iti</hi> evaṃ <hi rend="bold">pāpānaṃ</hi> akusalānaṃ saṅgaho navadhā vutto. Ettha ca –</p>

<p rend="gatha1">Navāṭṭhasaṅgahā lobha-diṭṭhiyo sattasaṅgahā;</p>

<p rend="gatha2">Avijjā paṭigho pañca-saṅgaho catusaṅgahā;</p>

<p rend="gathalast">Kaṅkhā tisaṅgahā mānuddhaccā thinaṃ dvisaṅgahaṃ.</p>

<p rend="gatha1">Kukkuccamiddhāhirikā-nottappissā <pb ed="V" n="0.0196" /> nigūhanā;</p>

<p rend="gathalast">Ekasaṅgahitā pāpā, iccevaṃ navasaṅgahā.</p>

<p rend="centre">Akusalasaṅgahavaṇṇanā niṭṭhitā.</p>

<p rend="subhead">Missakasaṅgahavaṇṇanā</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="15"><hi rend="paranum">15</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Hetūsu vattabbaṃ heṭṭhā vuttameva.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="16"><hi rend="paranum">16</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Ārammaṇaṃ upagantvā cintanasaṅkhātena upanijjhāyanaṭṭhena yathārahaṃ paccanīkadhammajhāpanaṭṭhena ca jhānāni ca tāni aṅgāni ca samuditānaṃ <pb ed="M" n="0.0222" /> avayavabhāvena aṅgīyanti ñāyantīti <hi rend="bold">jhānaṅgāni</hi>. Avayavavinimuttassa ca samudāyassa abhāvepi senaṅgarathaṅgādayo viya visuṃ visuṃ aṅgabhāvena vuccanti ekato hutvā jhānabhāvena. Domanassañcettha akusalajhānaṅgaṃ, sesāni kusalākusalābyākatajhānaṅgāni.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="17"><hi rend="paranum">17</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Sugatiduggatīnaṃ, nibbānassa ca abhimukhaṃ pāpanato maggā, tesaṃ pathabhūtāni aṅgāni, maggassa vā aṭṭhaṅgikassa aṅgāni <hi rend="bold">maggaṅgāni</hi>. Sammā aviparītato passatīti <hi rend="bold">sammādiṭṭhi</hi>. Sā pana ‘‘atthi dinna’’ntyādivasena dasavidhā, pariññādikiccavasena catubbidhā vā. Sammā saṅkappenti etenāti <hi rend="bold">sammāsaṅkappo</hi>. So nekkhammasaṅkappaabyāpādasaṅkappaavihiṃsāsaṅkappavasena tividho. Sammāvācādayo heṭṭhā vibhāvitāva. Sammā vāyamanti etenāti <hi rend="bold">sammāvāyāmo</hi>. Sammā saranti etāyāti <hi rend="bold">sammāsati</hi>. Imesaṃ pana bhedaṃ upari vakkhati. Sammā sāmañca ādhīyati etena cittanti <hi rend="bold">sammāsamādhi,</hi> paṭhamajjhānādivasena pañcavidhā ekaggatā. Micchādiṭṭhiādayo duggatimaggattā maggaṅgāni.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="18"><hi rend="paranum">18</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Dassanādīsu cakkhuviññāṇādīhi, yebhuyyena taṃsahitasantānappavattiyaṃ liṅgādīhi, jīvane jīvantehi kammajarūpasampayuttadhammehi, manane jānane sampayuttadhammehi, sukhitādibhāve sukhitādīhi <pb ed="V" n="0.0197" /> sahajātehi, saddahanādīsu saddahanādivasappavattehi teheva, ‘‘anaññātaṃ ñassāmī’’ti pavattiyaṃ tathāpavattehi sahajātehi, ājānane aññabhāvibhāve ca ājānanādivasappavattehi sahajātehi attānaṃ anuvattāpentā dhammā issaraṭṭhena indriyāni nāmāti āha <hi rend="bold">‘‘cakkhundriya’’</hi>ntyādi. <hi rend="bold">Aṭṭhakathāyaṃ</hi> (vibha. aṭṭha. 219; visuddhi. 2.525) pana aparepi indaliṅgaṭṭhādayo indriyaṭṭhā vuttā. <hi rend="bold">Jīvitindriya</hi>nti rūpārūpavasena duvidhaṃ jīvitindriyaṃ. ‘‘Anamatagge saṃsāre anaññātaṃ <pb ed="M" n="0.0223" /> amataṃ padaṃ, catusaccadhammameva vā ñassāmī’’ti evamajjhāsayena paṭipannassa indriyaṃ <hi rend="bold">anaññātaññassāmītindriyaṃ</hi>. Ājānāti paṭhamamaggena diṭṭhamariyādaṃ anatikkamitvā jānāti indriyañcāti <hi rend="bold">aññindriyaṃ</hi>. Aññātāvino cattāri saccāni paṭivijjhitvā ṭhitassa arahato indriyaṃ <hi rend="bold">aññātāvindriyaṃ</hi>. Dhammasarūpavibhāvanatthañcettha paññindriyaggahaṇaṃ, puggalajjhāsayakiccavisesavibhāvanatthaṃ anaññātaññassāmītindriyādīnaṃ gahaṇaṃ.</p>

<p rend="bodytext">Ettha ca sattapaññattiyā visesanissayattā ajjhattikāyatanāni ādito vuttāni, manindriyaṃ pana ajjhattikāyatanabhāvasāmaññena ettheva vattabbampi arūpindriyehi saha ekato dassanatthaṃ jīvitindriyānantaraṃ vuttaṃ, sāyaṃ paññatti imesaṃ vasena ‘‘itthī puriso’’ti vibhāgaṃ gacchatīti dassanatthaṃ tadanantaraṃ bhāvadvayaṃ, tayime upādinnadhammā imassa vasena tiṭṭhantīti dassanatthaṃ tato paraṃ jīvitindriyaṃ, sattasaññito dhammapuñjo pabandhavasena pavattamāno imāhi vedanāhi saṃkilissatīti dassanatthaṃ tato vedanāpañcakaṃ, tāhi pana visuddhikāmānaṃ vodānasambhāradassanatthaṃ tato saddhādipañcakaṃ, sambhūtavodānasambhārā ca imehi visujjhantīti visuddhippattā, niṭṭhitakiccā ca hontīti dassanatthaṃ ante tīṇi vuttāni. Ettāvatā adhippetatthasiddhīti aññesaṃ aggahaṇanti idametesaṃ anukkamena desanāya kāraṇanti alamatippapañcena.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="19"><hi rend="paranum">19</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Asaddhiyakosajjapamādauddhaccaavijjāahirikaanottappasaṅkhātehi paṭipakkhadhammehi akampiyaṭṭhena, sampayuttadhammesu thirabhāvena ca saddhādīni satta <hi rend="bold">balāni,</hi> ahirikānottappadvayaṃ pana sampayuttadhammesu thirabhāveneva.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="20"><hi rend="paranum">20</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Attādhīnappavattīnaṃ patibhūtā dhammā <hi rend="bold">adhipatī</hi>. ‘‘Chandavato kiṃnāma na sijjhatī’’tyādikaṃ hi pubbābhisaṅkhārūpanissayaṃ labhitvā <pb ed="M" n="0.0224" /> uppajjamāne citte chandādayo dhurabhūtā <pb ed="V" n="0.0198" /> sayaṃ sampayuttadhamme sādhayamānā hutvā pavattanti, te ca tesaṃ vasena pavattanti, tena te attādhīnānaṃ patibhāvena pavattanti. Aññesaṃ adhipatidhammānaṃ adhipatibhāvanivāraṇavasena issariyaṃ adhipatitā. Santesupi indriyantaresu kevalaṃ dassanādīsu cakkhuviññāṇādīhi anuvattāpanamattaṃ indriyatāti ayaṃ adhipatiindriyānaṃ viseso.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="21"><hi rend="paranum">21</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Ojaṭṭhamakarūpādayo āharantīti <hi rend="bold">āhārā</hi>. Kabaḷīkārāhāro hi ojaṭṭhamakarūpaṃ āharati, phassāhāro tisso vedanā, manosañcetanāhārasaṅkhātaṃ kusalākusalakammaṃ tīsu bhavesu paṭisandhiṃ. Viññāṇāhārasaṅkhātaṃ paṭisandhiviññāṇaṃ sahajātanāmarūpeāharati, kiñcāpi sakasakapaccayuppanne āharantā aññepi atthi. Ajjhattikasantatiyā pana visesapaccayattā imeyeva cattāro ‘‘āhārā’’ti vuttā.</p>

<p rend="bodytext">Kabaḷīkārāhārabhakkhānañhi sattānaṃ rūpakāyassa <hi rend="bold">kabaḷīkārāhāro</hi> visesapaccayo kammādijanitassapi tassa kabaḷīkārāhārūpatthambhabaleneva dasavassādippavattisambhavato. Tathā hesa ‘‘dhāti viya kumārassa, upatthambhanakayantaṃ viya gehassā’’ti vutto. <hi rend="bold">Phasso</hi>pi sukhādivatthubhūtaṃ ārammaṇaṃ phusantoyeva sukhādivedanāpavattanena sattānaṃ ṭhitiyā paccayo hoti. <hi rend="bold">Manosañcetanā</hi> kusalākusalakammavasena āyūhamānāyeva bhavamūlanipphādanato sattānaṃ ṭhitiyā paccayo hoti. <hi rend="bold">Viññāṇaṃ</hi> vijānantameva nāmarūpappavattanena sattānaṃ ṭhitiyā paccayo hotīti evameteyeva ajjhattasantānassa visesapaccayattā ‘‘āhārā’’ti vuttā, phassādīnaṃ dutiyādibhāvo desanākkamato, na uppattikkamato.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="26"><hi rend="paranum">26</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Pañcaviññāṇānaṃ <pb ed="M" n="0.0225" /> vitakkavirahena ārammaṇesu abhinipātamattattā tesu vijjamānānipi upekkhāsukhadukkhāni upanijjhānākārassa abhāvato jhānaṅgabhāvena na uddhaṭāni. ‘‘Vitakkapacchimakaṃ hi jhānaṅga’’nti vuttaṃ. Dvipañcaviññāṇamanodhātuttikasantīraṇattikavasena soḷasacittesu vīriyābhāvato tattha vijjamānopi samādhi balabhāvaṃ na gacchati. ‘‘Vīriyapacchimakaṃ bala’’nti hi vuttaṃ. Tathā aṭṭhārasāhetukesu hetuvirahato maggaṅgāni na labbhanti. ‘‘Hetupacchimakaṃ maggaṅga’’nti (dha. sa. aṭṭha. 438) hi vuttanti imamatthaṃ manasi nidhāyāha <hi rend="bold">‘‘dvipañcaviññāṇesū’’</hi>tyādi. Jhānaṅgāni na labbhantīti sambandho.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="27"><hi rend="paranum">27</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Adhimokkhavirahato <pb ed="V" n="0.0199" /> vicikicchācitte ekaggatā cittaṭṭhitimattaṃ, na pana micchāsamādhisamādhindriyasamādhibalavohāraṃ gacchatīti āha <hi rend="bold">‘‘tathā vicikicchācitte’’</hi>tyādi.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="28"><hi rend="paranum">28</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi><hi rend="bold">Dvihetukatihetuka</hi>ggahaṇena ekahetukesu adhipatīnaṃ abhāvaṃ dasseti. <hi rend="bold">Javanesvevā</hi>ti avadhāraṇaṃ lokiyavipākesu adhipatīnaṃ asambhavadassanatthaṃ. Na hi te chandādīni purakkhatvā pavattanti. Vīmaṃsādhipatino dvihetukajavanesu asambhavato cittābhisaṅkhārūpanissayassa ca sambhavānurūpato labbhamānataṃ sandhāyāha <hi rend="bold">‘‘yathāsambhava’’</hi>nti. <hi rend="bold">Ekova labbhati,</hi> itarathā adhipatibhāvāyogato, teneva hi bhagavatā ‘‘hetū hetusampayuttakānaṃ dhammānaṃ hetupaccayena paccayo’’tyādinā (paṭṭhā. 1.1.1) hetupaccayaniddese viya ‘‘adhipatī adhipatisampayuttakāna’’ntyādinā avatvā ‘‘chandādhipati chandasampayuttakāna’’ntyādinā (paṭṭhā. 1.1.3) ekekādhipativaseneva adhipatipaccayo uddhaṭo.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="29"><hi rend="paranum">29</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi><hi rend="bold">Vatthuto</hi><pb ed="M" n="0.0226" /> dhammavasena hetudhammā cha, jhānaṅgāni <hi rend="bold">pañca</hi> somanassadomanassupekkhānaṃ vedanāvasena ekato gahitattā, <hi rend="bold">maggaṅgā nava</hi> micchāsaṅkappavāyāmasamādhīnaṃ vitakkavīriyacittekaggatāsabhāvena sammāsaṅkappādīhi ekato gahitattā. <hi rend="bold">Indriyadhammā soḷasa</hi> pañcannaṃ vedanindriyānaṃ vedanāsāmaññena, tiṇṇaṃ lokuttarindriyānaṃ paññindriyassa ca ñāṇasāmaññena ekato gahitattā, rūpārūpajīvitindriyānañca visuṃ gahitattā, baladhammā pana yathāvuttanayeneva nava īritā, adhipatidhammā cattāro vuttā, āhārā tathā cattāro vuttāti kusalādīhi tīhi samākiṇṇo tatoyeva <hi rend="bold">missakasaṅgaho</hi> evaṃnāmako saṅgaho sattadhā vutto. Ettha ca –</p>

<p rend="gatha1">Pañcasaṅgahitā paññā, vāyāmekaggatā pana;</p>

<p rend="gathalast">Catusaṅgahitā cittaṃ, sati ceva tisaṅgahā.</p>

<p rend="gatha1">Saṅkappo vedanā saddhā, dukasaṅgahitā matā;</p>

<p rend="gathalast">Ekekasaṅgahā sesā, aṭṭhavīsati bhāsitā.</p>

<p rend="subhead">Bodhipakkhiyasaṅgahavaṇṇanā</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="30"><hi rend="paranum">30</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Paṭṭhātīti <pb ed="V" n="0.0200" /> paṭṭhānaṃ, asubhaggahaṇādivasena anupavisitvā kāyādiārammaṇe pavattatītyattho, satiyeva paṭṭhānaṃ <hi rend="bold">satipaṭṭhānaṃ</hi>. Taṃ pana kāyavedanācittadhammesu asubhadukkhāniccānattākāraggahaṇavasena, subhasukhaniccaattasaññāvipallāsappahānavasena ca catubbidhanti vuttaṃ <hi rend="bold">‘‘cattāro satipaṭṭhānā’’</hi>ti. Kucchitānaṃ kesādīnaṃ āyoti kāyo, sarīraṃ, assāsapassāsānaṃ vā samūho kāyo <pb ed="M" n="0.0227" />, tassa anupassanā parikammavasena, vipassanāvasena ca saraṇaṃ <hi rend="bold">kāyānupassanā</hi>. Dukkhadukkhavipariṇāmadukkhasaṅkhāradukkhabhūtānaṃ vedanānaṃ vasena anupassanā <hi rend="bold">vedanānupassanā</hi>. Tathā sarāgamahaggatādivasena sampayogabhūmibhedena bhinnasseva cittassa anupassanā <hi rend="bold">cittānupassanā</hi>. Saññāsaṅkhārānaṃ dhammānaṃ bhinnalakkhaṇānameva anupassanā <hi rend="bold">dhammānupassanā</hi>.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="31"><hi rend="paranum">31</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Sammā padahanti etenāti <hi rend="bold">sammappadhānaṃ,</hi> vāyāmo. So ca kiccabhedena catubbidhoti āha <hi rend="bold">‘‘cattāro sammappadhānā’’</hi>tyādi. Asubhamanasikārakammaṭṭhānānuyuñjanādivasena vāyamanaṃ <hi rend="bold">vāyāmo. Bhiyyobhāvāyā</hi>ti abhivuddhiyā.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="32"><hi rend="paranum">32</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Ijjhati adhiṭṭhānādikaṃ etāyāhi iddhi, iddhividhañāṇaṃ iddhiyā pādo iddhipādo, chandoyeva iddhipādo <hi rend="bold">chandiddhipādo</hi>.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="35"><hi rend="paranum">35</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Bujjhatīti bodhi, āraddhavipassakato paṭṭhāya yogāvacaro. Yāya vā so satiādikāya dhammasāmaggiyā bujjhati saccāni paṭivijjhati, kilesaniddāto vā vuṭṭhāti, kilesasaṅkocābhāvato vā maggaphalappattiyā vikasati, sā dhammasāmaggī bodhi, tassa bodhissa, tassā vā bodhiyā aṅgabhūtā kāraṇabhūtāti bojjhaṅgā, te pana dhammavasena sattavidhāti āha <hi rend="bold">‘‘satisambojjhaṅgo’’</hi>tyādi. Satiyeva sundaro bojjhaṅgo, sundarassa vā bodhissa, sundarāya vā bodhiyā aṅgoti <hi rend="bold">satisambojjhaṅgo</hi>. Dhamme vicināti upaparikkhatīti <hi rend="bold">dhammavicayo,</hi> vipassanāpaññā. <hi rend="bold">Upekkhā</hi>ti idha tatramajjhattupekkhā.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="40"><hi rend="paranum">40</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> ‘‘Sattadhā <pb ed="M" n="0.0228" /> tattha saṅgaho’’ti vatvāna puna taṃ dassetuṃ <hi rend="bold">‘‘saṅkappapassaddhi cā’’</hi>tyādi vuttaṃ <pb ed="V" n="0.0201" />. Tattha <hi rend="bold">vīriyaṃ navaṭṭhānaṃ</hi> sammappadhānacatukkavīriyiddhipādavīriyindriyavīriyabalasambojjhaṅgasammāvāyāmavasena navakiccattā, <hi rend="bold">sati aṭṭhaṭṭhānā</hi> satipaṭṭhānacatukkasatindriyasatibalasatisambojjhaṅgasammāsativasena aṭṭhakiccattā. <hi rend="bold">Samādhi catuṭṭhāno</hi> samādhindriyasamādhibalasamādhisambojjhaṅgasammāsamādhivasena catukiccattā, <hi rend="bold">paññā pañcaṭṭhānā</hi> vīmaṃsiddhipādapaññindriyapaññābaladhammavicayasambojjhaṅgasammādiṭṭhivasena pañcakiccattā, <hi rend="bold">saddhā dviṭṭhānā</hi> saddhindriyasaddhābalavasena dvikiccattā. Eso uttamānaṃ bodhipakkhiyabhāvena visiṭṭhānaṃ sattatiṃsa dhammānaṃ <hi rend="bold">pavaro</hi> uttamo vibhāgo.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="41"><hi rend="paranum">41</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Lokuttare aṭṭhavidhepi sabbe sattatiṃsa dhammā honti, saṅkappapītiyo na vā honti, dutiyajjhānike saṅkappassa, catutthapañcamajjhānike pītiyā ca asambhavato na honti vā, lokiyepi citte sīlavisuddhādi <hi rend="bold">chabbisuddhipavattiyaṃ yathāyogaṃ</hi> taṃtaṃkiccassa anurūpavasena keci katthaci visuṃ visuṃ honti, katthaci na vā honti.</p>

<p rend="centre">Bodhipakkhiyasaṅgahavaṇṇanā niṭṭhitā.</p>

<p rend="subhead">Sabbasaṅgahavaṇṇanā</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="42"><hi rend="paranum">42</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Atītānāgatapaccuppannādibhedabhinnā te te sabhāgadhammā ekajjhaṃ rāsaṭṭhena <hi rend="bold">khandhā</hi>. Tenāha bhagavā – ‘‘tadekajjhaṃ abhisaṃyūhitvā abhisaṅkhipitvā ayaṃ vuccati rūpakkhandho’’tyādi (vibha. 2), te panete khandhā bhājanabhojanabyañjanabhattakārakabhuñjakavikappavasena pañceva vuttāti āha <hi rend="bold">‘‘rūpakkhandho’’</hi>tyādi <pb ed="M" n="0.0229" />. Rūpañhi vedanānissayattā bhājanaṭṭhāniyaṃ, vedanā bhuñjitabbattā bhojanaṭṭhāniyā, saññā vedanāssādalābhahetuttā byañjanaṭṭhāniyā, saṅkhārā abhisaṅkharaṇato bhattakārakaṭṭhāniyā, viññāṇaṃ upabhuñjakattā bhuñjakaṭṭhāniyaṃ. Ettāvatā ca adhippetatthasiddhīti pañceva vuttā. Desanākkamepi idameva kāraṇaṃ yattha bhuñjati, yañca bhuñjati, yena ca bhuñjati, yo ca bhojako, yo ca bhuñjitā, tesaṃ anukkamena dassetukāmattā.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="43"><hi rend="paranum">43</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Upādānānaṃ <pb ed="V" n="0.0202" /> gocarā khandhā <hi rend="bold">upādānakkhandhā,</hi> te pana upādānavisayabhāvena gahitā rūpādayo pañcevāti vuttaṃ <hi rend="bold">‘‘rūpupādānakkhandho’’</hi>tyādi. Sabbasabhāgadhammasaṅgahatthaṃ hi sāsavā, anāsavāpi dhammā avisesato ‘‘pañcakkhandhā’’ti desitā. Vipassanābhūmisandassanatthaṃ pana sāsavāva ‘‘upādānakkhandhā’’ti. Yathā panettha vedanādayo sāsavā, anāsavā ca, na evaṃ rūpaṃ, ekantakāmāvacarattā. Sabhāgarāsivasena pana taṃ khandhesu desitaṃ, upādāniyabhāvena, pana rāsivasena ca upādānakkhandhesūti daṭṭhabbaṃ.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="44"><hi rend="paranum">44</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Āyatanti ettha taṃtaṃdvārārammaṇā cittacetasikā tena tena kiccena ghaṭṭenti vāyamanti, āyabhūte vā te dhamme etāni tanonti vitthārenti, āyataṃ vā saṃsāradukkhaṃ nayanti pavattenti, cakkhuviññāṇādīnaṃ kāraṇabhūtānīti vā <hi rend="bold">āyatanāni</hi>. Apica loke nivāsaākarasamosaraṇasañjātiṭṭhānaṃ ‘‘āyatana’’nti vuccati, tasmā etepi taṃtaṃdvārikānaṃ, taṃtadārammaṇānañca cakkhuviññāṇādīnaṃ nivāsaṭṭhānatāya, tesameva ākiṇṇabhāvena pavattānaṃ ākaraṭṭhānatāya, dvārārammaṇato samosarantānaṃ samosaraṇaṭṭhānatāya, tattheva uppajjantānaṃ sañjātiṭṭhānatāya ca āyatanāni. Tāni pana dvārabhūtāni ajjhattikāyatanāni <pb ed="M" n="0.0230" /> cha, ārammaṇabhūtāni ca bāhirāyatanāni chāti dvādasavidhānīti āha <hi rend="bold">‘‘cakkhāyatana’’</hi>ntyādi. Cakkhu ca taṃ āyatanañcāti <hi rend="bold">cakkhāyatanaṃ</hi>. Evaṃ sesesupi.</p>

<p rend="bodytext">Ettha ajjhattikāyatanesu sanidassanasappaṭighārammaṇattā cakkhāyatanaṃ vibhūtanti taṃ paṭhamaṃ vuttaṃ, tadanantaraṃ anidassanasappaṭighārammaṇāni itarāni, tatthāpi asampattaggāhakasāmaññena cakkhāyatanānantaraṃ sotāyatanaṃ vuttaṃ, itaresu sīghataraṃ ārammaṇaggahaṇasamatthattā ghānāyatanaṃ paṭhamaṃ vuttaṃ. Purato ṭhapitamattassa hi bhojanādikassa gandho vātānusārena ghāne paṭihaññati, tadanantaraṃ pana padesavuttisāmaññena jivhāyatanaṃ vuttaṃ, tato sabbaṭṭhānikaṃ kāyāyatanaṃ, tato pañcannampi gocaraggahaṇasamatthaṃ manāyatanaṃ, yathāvuttānaṃ pana anukkamena tesaṃ tesaṃ ārammaṇāni rūpāyatanādīni vuttāni.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="45"><hi rend="paranum">45</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Attano sabhāvaṃ dhārentīti <hi rend="bold">dhātuyo</hi>. Atha vā yathāsambhavaṃ anekappakāraṃ saṃsāradukkhaṃ vidahanti, bhārahārehi viya ca bhāro sattehi dhīyanti dhāriyanti, avasavattanato dukkhavidhānamattameva cetā, sattehi ca saṃsāradukkhaṃ anuvidhīyati etāhi, tathāvihitañca etāsveva <pb ed="V" n="0.0203" /> mīyati ṭhapiyati, rasasoṇitādisarīrāvayavadhātuyo viya, haritālamanosilādiselāvayavadhātuyo viya ca ñeyyāvayavabhūtā cāti <hi rend="bold">dhātuyo</hi>. Yathāhu –</p>

<p rend="gatha1">‘‘Vidahati vidhānañca, dhīyate ca vidhīyate;</p>

<p rend="gatha1">Etāya dhīyate ettha, iti vā dhātusammatā;</p>

<p rend="gathalast">Sarīraselāvayava-dhātuyo viya dhātuyo’’ti.</p>

<p rend="bodytext">Tā pana manāyatanaṃ sattaviññāṇadhātuvasena sattadhā bhinditvā avasesehi ekādasāyatanehi saha aṭṭhārasadhātū <pb ed="M" n="0.0231" /> vuttāti āha <hi rend="bold">‘‘cakkhudhātū’’</hi>tyādi. Kamakāraṇaṃ vuttanayena daṭṭhabbaṃ.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="46"><hi rend="paranum">46</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Ariyakarattā ariyāni, tacchabhāvato saccānīti <hi rend="bold">ariyasaccāni</hi>. Imāni hi cattāro paṭipannake, cattāro phalaṭṭheti aṭṭhaariyapuggale sādhenti asati saccappaṭivedhe tesaṃ ariyabhāvānupagamanato, sati ca tasmiṃ ekantena tabbhāvūpagamanato ca. Dukkhasamudayanirodhamaggānameva pana yathākkamaṃ bādhakattaṃ pabhavattaṃ nissaraṇattaṃ niyyānikattaṃ, nāññesaṃ, bādhakādibhāvoyeva ca dukkhādīnaṃ, na abādhakādibhāvo, tasmā aññatthābhāvatatthabyāpitāsaṅkhātena lakkhaṇena etāni tacchāni. Tenāhu porāṇā –</p>

<p rend="gatha1">‘‘Bodhānurūpaṃ cattāro, chindante caturo male;</p>

<p rend="gathalast">Khīṇadose ca cattāro, sādhentāriyapuggale.</p>

<p rend="gatha1">‘‘Aññattha bādhakattādi, na hi etehi labbhati;</p>

<p rend="gathalast">Nābādhakattametesaṃ, tacchānetānivetato’’ti.</p>

<p rend="bodytext">Ariyānaṃ vā saccāni tehi paṭivijjhitabbattā, ariyassa vā sammāsambuddhassa saccāni tena desitattāti <hi rend="bold">ariyasaccāni</hi>. Tāni pana saṃkiliṭṭhāsaṃkiliṭṭhaphalahetuvasena catubbidhānīti āha <hi rend="bold">‘‘cattāri ariyasaccānī’’</hi>tyādi. Tattha kucchitattā, tucchattā ca <hi rend="bold">dukkhaṃ</hi>. Kammādipaccayasanniṭṭhāne dukkhuppattinimittatāya samudayo samudeti etasmā dukkhanti katvā, dukkhassa <pb ed="V" n="0.0204" /> samudayo <hi rend="bold">dukkhasamudayo</hi>. Dukkhassa anuppādanirodho ettha, etenāti vā <hi rend="bold">dukkhanirodho</hi>. Dukkhanirodhaṃ gacchati, paṭipajjanti ca taṃ etāyāti <hi rend="bold">dukkhanirodhagāminipaṭipadā</hi>.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="47"><hi rend="paranum">47</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Cetasikānaṃ, soḷasasukhumarūpānaṃ, nibbānassa ca vasena ekūnasattati dhammā āyatanesu dhammāyatanaṃ, dhātūsu dhammadhātūti ca saṅkhaṃ gacchanti.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="49"><hi rend="paranum">49</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi><hi rend="bold">Sesā</hi><pb ed="M" n="0.0232" /><hi rend="bold">cetasikā</hi>ti vedanāsaññāhi sesā paññāsa cetasikā. Kasmā pana vedanāsaññā visuṃ katāti? Vaṭṭadhammesu assādatadupakaraṇabhāvato. Tebhūmakadhammesu hi assādavasappavattā vedanā, asubhe subhādisaññāvipallāsavasena ca tassā tadākārappavattīti tadupakaraṇabhūtā saññā, tasmā saṃsārassa padhānahetutāya etā vinibhujjitvā desitāti. Vuttañhetaṃ ācariyena –</p>

<p rend="gatha1">‘‘Vaṭṭadhammesu assādaṃ, tadassādupasevanaṃ;</p>

<p rend="gathalast">Vinibhujja nidassetuṃ, khandhadvayamudāhaṭa’’nti. (nāma. pari. 649);</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="50"><hi rend="paranum">50</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Nanu ca āyatanadhātūsu nibbānaṃ saṅgahitaṃ, khandhesu kasmā na saṅgahitanti āha <hi rend="bold">‘‘bhedābhāvenā’’</hi>tyādi. Atītādibhedabhinnānañhi rāsaṭṭhena khandhavohāroti nibbānaṃ bhedābhāvato khandhasaṅgahato <hi rend="bold">nissaṭaṃ,</hi> vinimuttantyattho.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="51"><hi rend="paranum">51</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Channaṃ dvārānaṃ, channaṃ ārammaṇānañca bhedena āyatanāni dvādasa bhavanti, channaṃ dvārānaṃ channaṃ ārammaṇānaṃ tadubhayaṃ nissāya uppannānaṃ tattakānameva viññāṇānaṃ <hi rend="bold">pariyāyena</hi> kamena dhātuyo aṭṭhārasa bhavanti.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="52"><hi rend="paranum">52</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi> Tisso bhūmiyo imassāti tibhūmaṃ, tibhūmaṃyeva <hi rend="bold">tebhūmakaṃ</hi>. Vattati ettha kammaṃ, tabbipāko cāti <hi rend="bold">vaṭṭaṃ. Taṇhā</hi>ti kāmataṇhādivasena tividhā, puna chaḷārammaṇavasena aṭṭhārasavidhā, atītānāgatapaccuppannavasena catupaññāsavidhā, ajjhattikabāhiravasena aṭṭhasatappabhedā taṇhā. Kasmā pana aññesupi dukkhahetūsu santesu taṇhāyeva samudayoti vuttāti? Padhānakāraṇattā. Kammavicittatāhetubhāvena, hi kammasahāyabhāvūpagamanena ca dukkhavicittatākāraṇattā <pb ed="V" n="0.0205" /> taṇhā dukkhassa visesakāraṇanti <pb ed="M" n="0.0233" />. Maggo dukkhanirodhagāminipaṭipadānāmena vutto maggo lokuttaro matoti maggoti puna maggaggahaṇaṃ yojetabbaṃ.</p>

<p rend="bodytext" n="53"><hi rend="paranum">53</hi><hi rend="dot">.</hi><hi rend="bold">Maggayuttā</hi> aṭṭhaṅgikavinimuttā sesā maggasampayuttā phassādayo <hi rend="bold">phalañceva</hi> sasampayuttanti ete catūhi saccehi vinissaṭā viniggatā nippariyāyato, pariyāyato pana aññātāvindriyaniddesepi ‘‘maggaṅgaṃ maggapariyāpanna’’nti (dha. sa. 555) vuttattā phaladhammesu sammādiṭṭhādīnaṃ maggasacce, itaresañca maggaphalasampayuttānaṃ saṅkhāradukkhasāmaññena dukkhasacce saṅgaho sakkā kātuṃ. Evañhi sati saccadesanāyapi sabbasaṅgāhikatā upapannā hoti. Kasmā panete khandhādayo bahū dhammā vuttāti? Bhagavatāpi tatheva desitattā. Bhagavatāpi kasmā tathā desitāti? Tividhasattānuggahassa adhippetattā. Nāmarūpatadubhayasammuḷhavasena hi tikkhanābhitikkhamudindriyavasena, saṅkhittamajjhimavitthārarucivasena ca tividhā sattā. Tesu nāmasammuḷhānaṃ khandhaggahaṇaṃ nāmassa tattha catudhā vibhattattā, rūpasammuḷhānaṃ āyatanaggahaṇaṃ rūpassa tattha aḍḍhekādasadhā vibhattattā, ubhayamuḷhānaṃ dhātuggahaṇaṃ ubhayesampi tattha vitthārato vibhattattā, tathā tikkhindriyānaṃ, saṅkhittarucikānañca khandhāggahaṇantyādi yojetabbaṃ. Taṃ panetaṃ tividhampi pavattinivattitadubhayahetuvasena diṭṭhameva upakārāvahaṃ. No aññathāti saccaggahaṇanti daṭṭhabbaṃ.</p>
